Bergenia Hybrid
The Bergenia is an unnamed seedling from a local plantsman. Bergenia are often looked down upon by gardeners, who have discovered the world of perennials. They are, in fact, invaluable in a landscape since they offer a rounded evergreen leaf. Many newer improved forms are on the market, some with dramatic winter coloration to their leaves, other ones offer improved flower color. Remember this plant has more to offer than what you see in tired old rockeries!
