Trillium chloropetalum
This Trillium chloropetalum (common name is Giant Trillium) selection came as a gift from a local gardener. Native to the San Francisco Bay Area of California, T. chloropetalum is always among the very first to flower in the garden. Slowly this plant is becoming commercially available in the Northwest. As with other trilliums, a rich soil in a partly shaded situation will promote best growth.
