Trillium kurabayashii is native to the very northern reaches of California, extending barely into Oregon. These plants have been vigorous in the garden, responding to compost and alfalfa pellets. The flower color on these plants is a bit more subtle than some of the other species. Again, the foliar markings extend the season of interest.
