Trillium rivale is a diminutive trillium native to the Siskiyou Mountains, straddling the Oregon/California state line. Collected many years ago by Ed Dunn, we divided this plant several years ago (in the fall) and created a small drift from what had been one clump. This trillium, like many of its cousins, enjoys a partially shaded environment. Reliably in bloom in the month of April, this is one of many varieties within the gardens.
