Our native dogwood has suffered over the last few decades, due to severe outbreaks of anthracnose. Found mostly on the West Coast, from British Columbia into California, the garden has only a few left, due to disease.
Good air circulation is important, in keeping this tree healthy. Quite drought tolerant, when established, it can take full day sun to more shaded conditions.
