Omphalodes cappadocica 'Cherry Ingram' is a very nice selection of a very good plant. Native to Turkey into what was the USSR, this springtime bloomer covers itself with true blue flowers (the photograph doesn't do it justice). Related to forget-me-nots, this perennial comes back year after year. We have planted them where they get some afternoon sun. The foliage at the end of the winter can look at bit ratty, but refrain from cutting it back too early. A late frost can cause damage. Also, by not cutting back, the emerging leaves and flower shoots have to go through the old foliage and this results in a taller plant. Don't divide this plant until well established, as it resents too much disturbance. Seedlings will occur, only in numbers to cause delight.
