An excellent, clump forming herbaceous perennial with arching stems, which if happy, will grow to at least 36” tall. Pairs of dangling bell-shaped flowers occur at each leaf joint, and this plant makes for a long lasting cut flower. It does best with some afternoon shade, in a not too dry soil. When established, quite drought tolerant when sited in a woodland setting. After three or four years, a plant can be divided (late autumn is a good time), in order to create a drift.
