Cyclamen hederifolium 'Pewter Leaf Form' was raised from seed by the curators. This late summer into fall blooming plant thrives in dry, wooded sections of the garden. As the flowers fade in the late fall, the foliage will continue to expand (old plants can reach 18" across). Come winter the polished foliage glistens in the rain and low light. This plant and other are interplanted with Galanthus nivalis, a winter blooming bulb which goes by the common name of 'Snowdrop'.
