Lilium duchartrei is native to parts of western China and one common name of it is, 'Marble Martagon Lily'. We had gotten seed of this plant from a botanical garden and a local nurseryman grew them on. This was the first year for it to flower in Ed's garden (July). Like L. martagon, this plant grows well in a partly shaded environment and will grow to a height of four to five feet in the right situation.
