Camellia japonica 'Auburn White'
|
| This Camellia japonica cultivar is probably 'Auburn
White', which was hybridized locally. We aren't totally sure, there are
several other forms on the market which also closely fit the bill. As with
any C. japonica, a good shaking is needed every week to dislodge
the spent flowers, which have a tendency to not fall off readily. This plant
is located behind Ed's house in the curator's garden. It has been pruned
to a single trunk, as we desired to have a mixed perennial planting underneath
the canopy of this plant.
