(More Rhododendron Hybrids)

These rhododendrons are unknown to us. Some of them were identified in the early 1990's by rhododendron enthusiasts, but over time plant labels have a habit of disappearing. Other plants were never named, since they were hybrids created by Ed Dunn and/or his friends. Out of a thousand seedlings, only one plant might be worth naming. What to do with the other nine hundred and ninety nine? Well, plant some of them out and enjoy them. We hope in 2003 to get a better labeling system in the garden, but that will depend on fundraising since the brass labels we want cost a dollar apiece. If you come to the gardens, enjoy the rhododendrons, but realize that a minority of them have a correct name attached.
