Geranium wallichianum 'Buxton's Form'
|
| Geranium wallichianum 'Buxton's Form' is a selection
that originated in Wales in 1900. This long lived perennial will flower
for a good three to four months, starting in late July. The foliage of this
geranium emerges relatively late in the season, so it is good to mark where
a young plant has been sited. Since this plant is often raised from seed,
the flower color can range from a true blue into a mauve/magenta. Low growing
but relatively wide spreading, these plants can be found in the hawthorn
tree bed next to the Great Lawn.
