Hieraceum lanatum

| Hieraceum lanatum is commonly known as 'Hawkweed'.
This perennial, native to parts of the Alps and mountains into eastern Europe,
is a very tough and long lived perennial. Sun and good drainage are important
if this plant is to succeed in the home garden. We have planted it near
Ed's lathe house, where it has seeded into an old concrete path. If deadheaded
after the initial flowering, a small repeat bloom will usually occur. This
plant needs very little upkeep except for an occasional grooming.
